The Department of Energy intends to negotiate a fixed-price contract with only one source, the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), under authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) only one responsible source. AEE will provide technical assistance to the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) in providing training and education opportunities for Federal Energy Managers in conservation and efficient use of energy and water and the use of renewable energy resources. In order to promote these objectives AEE will develop and present a Federal Symposia at AEE Conferences scheduled for April 19 & 20, 2000 in Dallas, Texas and September 27 & 28, 2000 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
