Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled Install Clean Steam Generation System, National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research (NCAUR), Peoria, IL. The work includes but is not limited to: Installation of a new electric steam generation system. The system installed shall provide clean steam at the rate of 550 pounds per hour at an operating pressure of 150 psi. Related work includes steam piping, PUDF piping, electrical feeders, pipe insulation, condensate piping, condensate cooling, domestic water supply, and waste drainage piping. The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. The period of performance is 180 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed (NTP) (NTP estimated to be issued in June 2000). A Bid Bond as well as Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required. The solicitation will be issued as Request for Proposal No. 5114-0-3143 and will be available on or about March 31, 2000, with proposals to be received not later than 2:00 p.m. (CST), May 2, 2000. The solicitation is issued pursuant to full and open competition and is unrestricted. Standard Industrial Classification Code of 1711, with a corresponding size standard of $7.0M.
