The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis engineering services to modify the M234 fuze in support of the M80 Submunition Product Improvement program to include industrial engineering and production services from KDI Precision Products, 3975 McMann Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245. KDI as sole producer of the M80 Submunition and M234 fuze has the unique technical expertise and facilities to perform fuze modifications in a timely and cost effective manner. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 3483 with a size standard of 1,500 employees. The contract shall be a firm fixed priced contract through 30 September 2000. FOB Destination shall apply. Simplified Acquisition Procedures shall be used. A written solicitation shall not be issued. The solicitation number is N00178-00-Q-1027 and is a Request for Quotation.
