Work to be performed consists of furnishing necessary service, materials, equipment, supplies, and labor required to install and make operable two (2) Traversing Extendible Conveyor (TEC) at the Defense Distribution Depot Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (DD00). Equipment furnished shall be new, complete, and of a quality necessary to produce and install TEC's capable of meeting the requirements. Unless otherwise specifically stated, all materials shall be new and of the most suitable grade of the intended purpose. The system shall be cabable of operating in an industrial warehouse environment impacted by extremes of temperature for 0 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity form 5 to 95 percent relative (non-condensing). Where required to design, fit, and install equipment, dimensions shall not be taken from drawings but shall be taken in the field from measurements at the site location. All dimensions and quantities given in this specification and on the drawings are given in nominal values; therefore, the Contractor will be required to make on site measurements. The TEC's shall be of a single boom design with a 60" wide belt. The TEC's shall have a fixed bed length between 40'-0" and 40'-6". The TEC shall have a fully extended length of 73'-6" minimum. The elevation of the TEC at the input end shall be 40" to the top of the belt. The elevation at the fully extended (output) end shall be 28" to the top of the belt. The TEC's shall include a riders platform at the location denoted on Drawings. The belt speed shall be 60 feet per minute. The traverse speed shall be 30 feet per minute. The extending and retracting speed shall be 30 feet per minute. The capacity of the TEC's shall be a minimum of 200 pounds per linear foot evenly loaded over the fixed length for a total capacity of 8,000 pounds minimum. The TEC's shall be capable of traversing, extending, retracting, and starting/stopping the belt when in a fully loaded condition. The contractor shall install a new drive track in the existing concrete floor per drawings. Contractor shall perform all required concrete work necessary to install the new drive track.
