Request For Proposal (RFP) # 2-00-JC-32-34, for the operation of the Edison Job Corps Center, located in Edison New Jersey, will be available, free of charge, on the World Wide Web on or about April 8, 2000 at http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule.html. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period from November 1, 2000 through October 31, 2002, with three (3) Governmental unilateral renewal options of one year each. The average capacity of the Edison Center is 530 students (295 residential males, 220 residential females, 5 nonresidential males and 10 nonresidential females). A pre-proposal conference will take place Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at 10:00 A.M. It will convene at the Edison Job Corps Center, 500 Plainfield Avenue, Edison, New Jersey 08817. Driving directions: GARDEN STATE PKWY (Portions toll) Take the US-1 NORTH/US-1 SOUTH exit, (exit number 130, towards NEWARK/TRENTON). Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto US-1 SOUTH. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto FULTON ST. TurnRIGHT onto PLAINFIELD AVE (CR-529). Center is approximately 4 miles on your left. NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE/I-95 (Portions toll). Take the RT-18 exit, exit number 9, towards NEW BRUNSWICK(US-1)/EAST BRUNSWICK. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto NJ-18 N. Take the US-1 NORTH ramp towards NEWARK. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto US-1 NORTH. Follow US-1 until you see the exit signs at the intersection for PLAINFIELD AVE/CR-529. Follow signs to make a left turn onto PLAINFIELD AVE/CR-529 toward Edison. After you cross over US-1 onto PLAINFIELD AVE (CR-529). Center is approximately 4 miles on your left. Entering the facility, participants must proceed directly to the Administrative Building conference room to register. A tour of the facility will immediately follow the conference.
