Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) has a requirement for pension plan actuarial services supporting the Actuarial Services Division. PBGC is interested in the acquisition of actuarial services regarding pension plans insured by the PBGC including: (1) performance of actuarial calculations and analyses of the under funding of pension plans on a plan termination basis; (2) calculation of the PBGC's claims for a plan's failure to make minimum funding contributions and, in some cases, the allocation of the calculated amounts into bankruptcy priority categories as specified by the PBGC; (3) to calculate IRC Section 412(n) lien amounts and employer liability under ERISA Section 4061(e); (4) to make projections of future years' funding status and minimum funding contributions; (5) to provide litigation support in actuarial matters, and other related technical assistance. A single award of a labor-hour contract is anticipated. The maximum duration of the contract is one base year plus four option years.
