For Decoding Audio This sole source award will be made to retrieve and service the audiovisual records of the Clinton administration which were created in Sony Digital Betacam format. This decision of the White House to utilize Sony Digital Betacam format has set the requirement precedent for other Presidential libraries as well, since they must also be compatible with modern Presidential record media. Only one source is responsible and no other supplies will satisfy the Agency requirement. Alternatives to all of the Sony products cited above must be accompanied by clear and convincing written evidence that the offer is more advantageous to the Government than a sole source award to Sony Electronics Inc. Pricing information shall also be provided with the submission. If no affirmative written response (s) is/are received within 5 working days after publication of this notice, a sole source contract with Sony Electronics Inc. will be awarded. Interested firms must submit their complete response, not to exceed 10 single sided pages, to the attention of the contracting officer no later than 4:00 PM EST 5 working days after publication of this notice.
