synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance
with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is
N66604-00-Q-2069. Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport
(NUWCDIVNPT) intends to purchase fifteen (15) units of Force Sparc CCA
VME boards, Model CPU-5V-64/100/2 (PN: 105326), fifteen (15) units of
Force Sparc/Memory-5/64, 64 Mbytes DRAM Module (PN: 101773), and
fifteen (15) units of Force Sparc/Sol 2.5.1/DT/RTU Solaris User License
(PN: 105314). These units must be exact duplicates of those in the
Multi-Sensor Torpedo Recognition and Alertment Program (MSTRAP) of the
AN/SQQ-89 TRAFS System because compatibility is essential in order to
preserve the integrity of the system. Any company other than the
original manufacturer shall submit evidence that it is authorized by
the manufacturer to distribute these products and that the products are
covered by the same warranty as the original manufacturer provides.
Required delivery is 90 days after award, F.O.B. Destination
NUWCDIVNPT, Newport, RI. This is 100% set-aside for small business. SIC
Code is 3577; size standard is 1000 employees. Incorporated provisions
and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular
97-15. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items
applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2-2
Evaluation -- Commercial Items. Evaluation factors are technical
capability, price and past performance. Each is equally important.
Technical Capability: companies other than the original manufacturer
shall submit evidence that it is an authorized dealer and that it
provides the same warranty as the manufacturer. Past Performance:
companies other than the original manufacturer shall provide
references. Award will be made to that responsible offeror whose
proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is determined to offer the
best value to the Government. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror
Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items must be
submitted with quote. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions --
Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required
to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, and
DFARS 52.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement
Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of
Commercial Items apply. Defense Priorities and Allocations System
(DPAS) rating of DO-C9 applies. Offers must be submitted to Ms.
