This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00164-00-Q-0122 applies and is issued as a request for quotes (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15 and Defense Change Notice 20000210. The standard industrial code is 7389 and the business size standard is $5.0 million or less. The requirement is for QTY 1 year service/maintenance for Targetry Equipment, and includes all on-site monthly and quarterly maintenance/repair operations. All performance shall be in accordance with the Government's Statement of Work and Preventative Maintenance Schedules available for downloading @ www.crane.navy.mil/supply. Per FAR 6.302-1, this requirement is issued on a sole source basis to Arcata Associates, Inc., 4220 Arcata Way, North Las Vegas, NV 89030. Only Arcata's products will be considered since the O.E.M., Australian Defense Industries (ADI), licenses distributors to sell and service their equipment. Arcata is the only known U.S. distributor with access to proprietary ADI information required to service, repair, and obtain replacement parts for this equipment. No other known source can meet the performance requirements. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Period of Performance is one year. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Agency.
