Burge, Contracting Officer, 510/437-5915 The proposed contract is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. SIC Code 7629 applies. The size standard is no more than $5 million. This is a follow-on requirement. The Contractor shall provide all services, management, administration, personnel, equipment, materials, supplies and transportation except as specified as Government Furnished Property and Services. The services include: preventive and corrective maintenance, maintenance of upgraded San Francisco Vessel Traffic System equipment; Differential Global Positioning System transmitter, remote site maintenance, calibration and repair of test equipment, equipment and parts inventory control and technical assistance for Coast Guard units throughout California Nevada and Arizona. The contractor is also required to provide additional miscellaneous support, which includes support of special Coast Guard operations and emergency repairs; installation, removal and relocation of telephone equipment, and various types of electronic support or services not included in other contract requirements. Electronics maintenance is required at shore units, afloat units, remote sites and in motor vehicles with California and Nevada. The Coast Guard will provide electronics shops in Alameda, Humboldt Bay, Monterey, San Pedro and Vandenberg AFB, CA. The services may be required to be performed at exposed, elevated locations; on cutters and boats; on structures, poles, and towers on land and in the marine environment. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 15 April 2000. The solicitation will include fixed-price service items and task hour work items. Offeror's will be required to submit a price proposal and a technical proposal under separate cover. Award will be made on best value to the Government. Notification to unsuccessful offerors will be given only if requested. All interested 8(a) firms are encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation.
