The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for a contractor to provide Physical Security Survey Reviews at SSA offices nationwide. SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract with four (4), successive, one-year options, if exercised. The anticipated period of performance is August 23, 2000 through August 22, 2001 for the basic period of performance; August 23, 2001 through August 22, 2002 for Option Period One (1); August 23, 2002 through August 22, 2003 for Option Period Two (2); August 23, 2003 through August 22, 2004 for Option Period Three (3) and August 23, 2004 through August 22, 2005 for Option Period Four (4). This acquisition has been set-aside 100 percent for 8(a) minority concerns in all stages of development. This acquisition has been approved for the 8(a) program by the United States Small Business Administration. Any responsible and certified 8(a) source may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Offers received from other than an 8(a) business will be deemed unacceptable and will be given no further consideration. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this requirement is 8748. The size standard for this SIC code is $5.0 million. An 8(a) offeror must be an eligible participant in the 8(a) program for a specified SIC code on the date specified in the solicitation for receipt of proposals. This acquisition is determined not to be subject to Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regarding the acquisition of commercial or non developmental items.
