The Alaska VA Healthcare System & Regional Office, Anchorage, Alaska, is soliciting for a performance based contract for "Interment/Headstone Services" at the Ft. Richardson National Cemetery, Ft. Richardson, Alaska. The purpose of this contract is to plan, organize, interact, manage, and control the programs and activities that are required to: 1) INTERMENT OPERATION -- burials of all cremation and/or full casketed remains, as it relates to disinterments, reinterments, 1st interments, 2nd interments, and group burials to include preparation and maintenance of the services and burial site, as scheduled, under all environmental conditions to include, but not exclude severe weather conditions. 2) HEADSTONE/MONUMENT MARKER OPERATION -- receiving, handling, storing, inspectirng, verification of inscription, setting, recording, alignment, replacement, raising, cleaning and repairing of all existing and new headstone/monument markers based on predicated economic, ecological and social consequences. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, professional expertise, attendance at cemetery staff meetings, equipment, products/product lists, materials, and planning tools to include but not limited to: time lines, bench marking, schedules, preventative/maintenance schedules, and ADP record keeping, necessary to sufficiently meet the requirements. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. A pre-proposal meeting/site walk thru is scheduled for March 24th at 1:00 pm local time, at the Ft. Richardson National Cemetery Administration Building. The solicitation will be available on/about March 16, 2000.
