This work will consist of providing photographic negatives or transparencies in 35 mm color, large format color, and/or large format panoramic color (unless otherwise specified). The work can be provided through the use of stock images or on-site photography depending on the subject. The images will be used to fabricate exhibit panels and photo murals to be used in the Begich, Boggs Visitor Center in Portage Valley near Girdwood, Alaska. Fabrication is not part of the scope of this work. The estimated start date for this work is April 15, 2000 however it may be earlier if possible. The majority of images shall be delivered by the September 1, 2000. The images that depict specific seasons will be delivered within two weeks after the conditions occur on location for the shot. For example: the fall shots will have to be taken in the fall unless stock images are available. The final deadline for the winter images is December 31, 2000 unless otherwise negotiated. This Request for Quotations (RFQ) is made using simplified acquisition evaluation and award procedures. Selection for offer of award will be made on the acquisition evaluation and award procedures. Selection for offer of award will be made on the basis of best-value comparative evaluation of quotes as provided in FAR 13.106-2(b)(2). Award may not necessarily be made to the low price. The Government reserves the right to make price/technical trade-offs that are in the best interest and to the advantage of the Government.
