CONGER TIMBER SALE TREE MARKING -- The contractor shall provide labor and materials for leave tree marking within 1800 acres of timber sale units for the Conger Timber Sale. The harvest prescriptions units will result in one timber sale on the Tonasket Ranger District, Okanogan National Forest. The contractor shall use marking colors and techniques according project specifications and complete all work within 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Estimated start is May 15, 2000 and finish August 15, 2000. Only those units delineated on the ground with blue flagging or tagged boundary trees with yellow or orange paint shall be marked. Some Government Furnished property will be available for the performance of the work such as paint, maps and photos. Location -- From Conunully, WA, proceed West County road 2017 approximately 2.5 miles to end of county road and start of Forest Service road 37. Proceed West on Forest Service road 37 to units shown on attached map. Sample of marking requirements may be viewed on units 14, 15, 19, 80 and 81. Ground conditions are typical of tractor logging ground on the Okanogan -- Wenatchee National Forest with a range 0% to 35% slope with some small inclusions of ground in excess of 35% slope.
