The National Park Service, Denver Service Center, is soliciting proposals for construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. A negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The statement of work includes constructing wastewater treatment facility at Old Faithful Village in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. This work involves new construction of a wastewater treatment facility at the existing evaporation/percolation pond site, reconstruction of an existing pumping station, new water and wastewater pipelines, sludge drying facility and all associated appurtenances. Access to Old Faithful village is from West Yellowstone, Montana or Gardiner, Montana, along a two lane paved road. The project is located approximately one third of a mile from Old Faithful Village along a 12-foot wide dirt surfaced road. Reconstruction of this access road ispart of this project. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The estimated completion date is 6/1/2002. A preproposal conference will not be held. Award of a single contract will be made to the best value offeror. Because this acquisition could result in an award over $1,000,000, a subcontracting plan will be required by the selected firm, if the firm is a large business concern.
