as/r4_boise@fs.fed.us. This project will restore up to 4 miles of
degraded stream channel and reclaim road segments and irrigation
structures which adversely affect associated wetlands and meadows. The
project includes the relocation of approx. 8,200 feet of roadway and
the reconditioning of approx. 18,000 sq. yards of native dirt road.
Wetland and meadow restoration includes soil erosion and pollution
control, construction of a pond, filling of gullies, construction of
rock grade controls and short stream segments, willow pole and other
vegetation plantings, seedling/mulching, and sod removal and
replanting. Project location: from Minden, Nevada, drive south on SH 88
for approx. 13 miles. From the junction of SH 88 and SH 89 at
Woodfords, CA, drive southeast for approx. 13 miles on SH 89. Bagley
Valley is accessed by a dirt road (FDR 014) existing SH 89 immediately
west of Heenan Lake, 3 miles from the junction of SH 4 and 89. Est.
start work date is 7/01/2000 with 530 calendar days for completion.
