Work includes, but not limited to providing all labor, equipment, and materials to apply 2 inch surface course asphalt for parking lots no. 1,3,5,6,7,8, and 9. Also, the service yards for the Civil Engineering and Vehilce Maintenance Facility requires 2 inch surface course asphalt. Parking Lot No. 4 and the entrance to the Headquarters circle, Pryor Drive South of Golf Course Road, and Lake Shore Drive require 1-1/2 inches of surface course asphalt. Asphalt -- Surface course per Type C IDOT Specification. Price shall include; cleaning of the surface, removal of excess debris, tack coat of the surface to be paved, placement of asphalt, compaction, and barricades required to restrict traffic on the lots until the asphalt has cured. Milling -- Areas to be milled will be 3 feet wide and 2" deep. Price shall include; the actual milling of the surface and hauling off of the millings. Curb -- 8"x16" vertical curb. Price shall include; any excavation, rock base, forming of the curb, curing, form removal and restoration of the adjacent surfaces. Subgrade Repair -- Remove 9 inches of existing asphalt and rock, and replace with 6 inches of compacted crushed stone to a 95% modified proctor and 3 inches of binder course. The edges shall be cut square with any spalled asphalt removed. Price shall include; sawcutting of the edge, excavation, hauling off of the excavated material, compaction of the sub-grade, placement of the crushed stone and asphalt and tacking the edge of the existing asphalt. Manhole Adjustment -- Install riser rings on the existing manholes to bring them up to the new grades, Valve Adjustment -- Install riser rings on the existing valve boxes to bring them up to the new grades. Estimated magnitude of this project is between $300,000 and $500,000. SICs are 2951 and 2952, IAW FAR 19.502-2(b)this acquisition will be a total set-a-side for small businesses.
