This Proposed Contract is for UNRESTRICTED Competition. JOB DESCRIPTION: Renovation of an existing 8-story Cat in Place reinforced concrete waffle slab construction with precast concrete panel perimeter walls. The building will be partially occupied during construction. The boundaries of work under this project are as follows: 1st Floor -- DLIFLC 70, 860 SF, DMDC 15,538 SF, DPW 9270 SF. 2nd Floor -- DLIFLC 38,076 SF, DFAS 13,076 SF, DFAS 13720 SF, Entry Lobby. 3rd Floor -- DFAS 19,451 SF, Cafeteria 16415 SF, Roof Garden. 4th Floor -- DFAS 8,368 SF, DMDC 11,135 SF, Conferencing Center 10,440 SF. 5th Floor through 8th Floors -- DMDC Shower Rooms, Refinishing Corridors/Galleys and Penthouse Mechanical Room. Renovation will include demolition/ removal and installation of new interior partitions: CID, Landscaping/Roof Garden, Food Service/Dining Facility, 4th Floor Conferencing Center, Structural Seismic Upgrade, Force Protection, HVAC Systems, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Protection, Elevators, Communication systems. The Procurement will be conducted under SIC CODE 1542. The standard size for this SIC CODE is $17,000,000.00. The BIDDERS ATTENTION is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the Tour of the Site. Large Business competing for this project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 Clause regarding the requirement for Subcontracting Plan on the part of the work that it intends to subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontracting are 61.4% for Small Business, 9.1% for Small Disadvantaged Businesses, and 5.0% for Small Business/Women-Owned. A firm that submits a plan with lesser goals must submit written rationale to support goals submitted. The estimated cost is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00.
