This solicitation is for the procurement of a construction firm to provide all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment required to renovate the lobby of the James A. Byrne Federal Courthouse, 6th & Market Streets, Philadelphia, PA. The project will consist of renovations to the existing courthouse lobby. The lobby is approximately 900 square meters. Included in the renovations are: new ceilings and lights throughout, associated fire sprinkler and fire alarm alterations, associated HVAC alterations, wood coffered ceilings, new wood cladding for existing columns as well as new artificial wood clad columns, new interior window walls, miscellaneous millwork (new security desk, display case, and wood benches), new graphical glass panels. The approximate duration of the contract is 9 months. The estimated price range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This project is in metric units of measurement, drawings and specifications are prepared in metric units. Offers will be evaluatedthrough a source selection process. Selection will be based on the following criteria: 1) Past Performance of Firm, 2) Past Performance of Project Manager and 3) Price. This is a negotiated procurement and is being advertised through full and open competition. The solicitation will be made available through the Electronic Posting System (EPS) on or about April 3, 2000. Drawings will be made available, upon request, in the form of Autocad documents on a compact disc. For copies of the drawings on compact disc, please submit a request in writing to Nancy A.
