Some components may be subject to military standard or military specification requirements; all components must be acceptable for aerospace uses in both missiles and aircraft. At the component level, NAWCWPNS requires a wide range of electronic components such as, but not limited to, resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, connectors, converters, filters, microcircuits, integrated circuits, programmable logic devices (PLD), signal processors, and memory chips. The components have multiple FSC codes but for the purposes of this requirement they will be coded under 59, because the majority of the components have this FSC. At the assembly level, NAWCWPNS requires rate sensors, transmitters, accelerometers, antennae, primary and rechargeable batteries, global positioning system (GPS) receivers, flight termination receivers, preamplifiers, and inertial measurement units. NAWCWPNS intends to maximize small business participation in meeting its core requirements. The primary focus of this notice is to identify interested sources for information and planning purposes only. This announcement is open until 3:00 PM Pacific Time, 27 April 2000. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3812 with a Size Standard of 750 employees. The government reserves the right to make this requirement a small business set-aside. If a contract is awarded for this effort, the government anticipates a multi-year contract with ordering from published catalog or web site and payment will be made per order via government purchase card. However, contract type and duration could change.
