CDC believes that its requirements are only met by one provider, however all responsible sources that can meet the requirements listed below may submit a quote which will be considered by the agency. The basic instrument for automation of glass slide-based hybirdization must meet the following requirements. The instrument performing this task must accommodate both tissue and microarray formats, allow precise temperature control of each slide through each step of the assay, allow user modification of hybridization conditions, and allow for precise identification of each slide. This instrument must also be able to provide precise individual control of slide temperature, automated addition of reagents, user defined assay conditions and barcode labeling of slides for precise identification of slides. Delivery must be within 30 days of purchase. An award will be made to Ventana Medical Systems on a sole source basis for a Full Discovery Slide Labeling System, within fifteen days from the date of this announcement.
