This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation is Set-Aside for Small Business, Size Standard: 750. DESCRIPTION: Introduction: Naval Facilities Engineering Services Center has a requirement for Naval Security Group Activity Kunia, Hawaii for a Chemical Storage Building. Specification Required: One: Model 20CR Chemical Storage Building or equal: Corrugated, galvanized cold rolled steel hazmat building, 20"x6"x8.6"h FM,UBC,UL and certificate of compliance for military usage. Galvanized non-slip grating is standard. Explosion-proof lighting (Class I, Division I) Water sprinkler system, with 2 heads, nozzles with 2.5" fire dept hook up. 3 adjustable shelves along length. Each shelf is 20" x 17" with a 2" lip and drain plugs. Doors: primary outer seal, & a secondary inner door. Seals activated by door-locking system, which compresses the seals Seismic restraint tie-downs on all four corners and grounding lugs. Ventilation gravity vents provides six air changes per hour Floor loading- 600 pounds per square foot Roof loading- 40 pounds per square foot Wind loading- 110 mph Blast protection 100 PSF interior The storage building will be sent to Naval Security Activity Group in Oahu, Hawaii.
