This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The commercial item will be landscaping of six (6) senior officer quarters (SOQ_s).. Price alone will not be the determining factor in awarding the resulting contract. Award will be based on a best value determination by the government to include aesthetic appearance, maintainability (to include durability), and compatibility with the existing landscape at Charleston Air Force Base and shall not exceed $20,000.. The contractor is required to submit a proposal to include a layout and specific recommendations. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for 0900 on 27 March 2000 and is required before submitting a proposal. When referencing the project please refer to F38610-00-T0006 and note that this is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. The resulting award is set aside for done under the small business set-aside program, the SIC is 0782 with a $5 million dollar size standard.
