GSA, HOTD-SDT/Central Heating and Refrigeration Plant is soliciting response from small businesses to award a contract to replace Nos. 2, 4, 5 & 6 Air Handler Units in H-Cubicle on the second floor of Central Heating & Refrigeration Plant. At a minimum the contractor shall install new units to replace the number 2 and 4 units that have only cooling capabilities, sized for the area that is targeted for cooling with new regulators. The contractor shall also install new units to replace units number 5 and 6 that have heating and cooling capabilities, sized for the area that is targeted for heating and cooling with new regulators for heating and cooling. The contractor shall replace the existing supply valves for steam and chill water along with the supply and return piping to and from the new units down to the floor drains including all valves, strainers, steam traps. Only the transition piece should be replaced and not the adjoining ductwork. There are unusual aspects and nature of the job that all prospective contractors must be aware of, therefore, a pre-proposal conference including a walk through of the job site has been scheduled for all prospective contractors All interested bidders are required to attend on Monday, April 3, 2000 from 7:30 am to 9:30 am.
