This project consists of transportation services for hauling soil to various locations throughout Craney Island, Portsmouth, VA for maintenance/repair services of existing earth containment dikes and haul roads at Craney Island Dredge Material Area in Portsmouth, VA for the U.S. Army Engineer District, Norfolk, Virginia. The contract duration is 180 calendar days for the base bid and 90 calendar days if the optional items are issued. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge to all registered planholders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation is compact disk and/or Internet. The solicitation will not be issued in paper format. Notification of amendments may be made by facsimile, floppy disk, compact disk and/or postings to the Internet. The media selected for solicitation amendments shall be solely at the discretion of the Government; accordingly. As separate notifications for each amendment may not be sent to planholders, bidders shall be responsible for monitoring the Internet for amendments.
