E-MAIL: Ouida Edwards, edwardso@eglin.af.mil. A sole source procurement is contemplated with Dayron Corporation in Orlando Florida. Dayron is the only known qualified source to perform this effort. Procurement of a limited additional quantity of FZU-55/Bs and associated cabling is necessary to support the increase in the contractual requirement for additional FMU-152/B Joint Programmable Fuzes (JPF). Dayron is the prime contractor for FMU-152/B fuze system and has the only operable manufacturing capability for the FMU-152/B JPF. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may submit statements of capability (SOC) demonstrating their ability to: (1) Demonstrate, through testing, a FZU-55/B capability which meets the performance specification requirements; (2) Meet minimum acceptable operational performance requirements; and (3) Perform the FZU-55/B production and meet the required delivery schedule. Responses will be evaluated based upon knowledge of the FMU-152/B fuze system and the capability to deliver a qualified FZU-55/B within the required delivery schedule.
