The instruments will be installed to upgrade the existing National Strong-Motion Network, under the National Strong-Motion Program (NSMP). Compatibility with installed NSMP instrumentation is crucial to utilize existing resources and to meet mandatory performance standards and deadlines. No other manufacturer is known to provide instruments meeting NSMP compatibility standards, telemetry standards, and event data format.
