Army, Installation Business Office-Contracting has a requirement for
providing an estimated 195,000 bags of Crushed Potable Ice in 40 pound
bags for delivery to no more than 33 dining facilities, one storage
warehouse and four field training exercise sites on Fort Bragg, NC.
Bags to be made of clear plastic, polyethylene, minimum 3 mil thick,
with wire or heat seal tie. The period of performance will be 01
October 2000 through 30 September 2001 with four (4) twelve month
option periods. The date for receipt of offers is estimated. The
solicitation will contain a firm closing date. For determining business
size on this project, the applicable Standard Industrial Classification
code is 2097/500 employees. Due to automation of the Bidder's Mailing
List, certain pertinent information is required before vendors can be
added to the list. It is, therefore, required that all requests for
solicitations include the vendor's business size, complete company
name, address, telephone number, fax number and email address. Request
shall be submitted via email to hardyv@bragg.army.mil or fax
(910)396-5603 and must reference the solicitation number and title.
Contractors wishing to do business with the Government must be
registered in the CCR for any awards resulting from solicitations
issued after 01 June 1998 or the contractor will not be eligible for
award. This requirement applies to all solicitations and awards,
regardless of the media: paper, oral, fax, electronic, etc. Contractors
may register in the CCR through the World Wide Web at www.ccr2000.com
or 1-888-227-2423. Upon release to public, solicitation will be
available for download via the internet at website
www.bragg.army.mil/www-doc/solicit.htm. Contractors who have requested
the solicitation will be notified of its' release via email. Proposals
are to be prepared in electronic format. Proposals that do not exceed
the capacity (1.44MP) of a single 3.5-inch floppy disk may be submitted
on a floppy disk. Proposals that do not exceed (1.44MB) shall be
submitted on CD-ROM in the CD-Recordable (CD-R) format. Proposal shall
be in Microsoft Office formats (text, Word, Excel spreadsheet, Access
database files, or PowerPoint slide presentations). Proposal shall not
