The VA Heartland Network is composed of VA Medical Centers at Poplar Bluff MO; Marion IL; St. Louis, MO; Columbia, MO; Kansas City, MO; Leavenworth, KS; Topeka, KS and Wichita, KS. Three contracts are contemplated to be awarded to support all medical centers listed. The work consists of field investigations, energy audits, site visits, preliminary designs, working drawings, specifications, engineering designs, construction cost estimates, construction period services, etc. on an as needed basis under a firm fixed-price contract. All work to be done in accordance with VA Master Specifications, VA planning criteria, and all applicable VA/National regulations. The engineering consultant must provide written certification from a Certified Industrial Hygienist as to mitigation of asbestos contamination (if any) for each project awarded throughout the term of this contract. This contract will be for a period of one (1) year with an option to award four (4) additional years. The minimum guaranty award amount is $25,000 over the life of the contract. The maximum guaranty award amount is $450,000/year. Evaluation and selection will be based on qualifications stated under Numbered Note 24.
