X -- HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS SOL USSS000017 POC Roger Due, 202-406-6940 Hotel accommodations for employees attending training courses at U.S. Secret Service's James J. Rowley Training Center. Hotels shall be located within a thirty minute (30) drive of the U.S. Secret Service training facility at 9200 Powder Mill Road, Laurel, Maryland. Hotels located outside of this area will not be considered. Each course normally has twenty-four (24) trainees. Overlap of courses will occur and accommodations for forty-eight (48) or more trainees may be occasionally required. Hotel suites will be required for a period of approximately eleven and one-half (11 and 1/2) weeks duration. Suites will be required approximately eight (8) to twelve (12) times per year. Accommodations shall consist of efficiency suites. A bedroom that is separated from the living/kitchen area is required for each person. In addition to sleeping areas, suites shall include a living/study area with seating accommodations for at least four individuals. The suites shall be equipped with kitchen areas, which include cooking facilities and a refrigerator. The hotel shall provide transportation to and from the U.S. Secret Service training facility each day. The contract periods will include a base year and two option years. The Government anticipates award of this requirement under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to one or more hotels. The solicitation will be issued on or about April 1, 2000 and award is anticipated on or about May 5, 2000. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
