Y -- NATO: CONSTRUCTION OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER, BASE THEATER & POST OFFICE AT AVIANO AIR BASE SOL N33191-96-B-0211 DUE 032800 POC Alexis Kemper (202-482-1512) The United States Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Engineering Field Activity Mediterranean, issues a notice of intent to invite bids for the construction of a Child Development Center, Mass Briefing Facility (Base Theater) and Post Office at Aviano Air Base, Italy. Child Development Center: This approximately 1,282 m2 gross area Child Development Center is a one story building with reinforced concrete foundation, reinforced concrete columns and beams and in filled masonry walls. The roof is clay tile hipped roof. Exterior finishes are stucco. The building comprises of Child Development classrooms and ancillary facilities and will be equipped with fire alarm and sprinkler fire protection systems. Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning with central chillers and boilers will be provided. Site work including concrete walkways, landscaping, connection to water, sewer and electrical installations are required. Mass briefing Facilities (Base Theater): This approximately 1,170 m2 gross area Theater is a one-story building with reinforced concrete foundation, reinforced concrete columns and beams and in filled masonry walls. The roof will be clay tile hipped roof. The high ceiling Lobby area wil have the projection room on the mezzanine level. The main floor will have sloping floor and a stage area. The building will be constructed with acoustical wall and ceiling finishes and will be fully equipped with fire alarm and fire protection sprinkler systems. The building shall be equipped with Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning using central chiller, boilers, and fan units with duct works. All site improvement including water, sewer, electrical connections, concrete walkways and landscaping are included in the project. Post Office: This approximately 820 m2 gross area Post Office is a one-story building with reinforced concrete foundation, reinforced concrete columns and beams and in filled masonry walls. The roof will be clay tile hipped roof. The rear of the building shall have a loading dock with steel frame, steel roof overhang. The building is equipped ith mail and parcel handling equipment to be government furnished, contractor installed. The building will be fully equipped with fire alarm and fire protection sprinkler systems. The building shall be equipped with Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning using central chiller, boilers and fan units with ducts. All site improvement including water, sewer, electrical connections, concrete walkways and landscaping are included in the project.
