Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for the
fluorescent lamp and ballast replacement at its site located in
Gaithersburg, Maryland. Occupancy and daylight sensors may also be
required for various applications, such as rest rooms, hallways,
conference rooms, and small offices. This work is necessary to retrofit
inefficient fluorescent ballasts and lamps with electronic ballasts and
lower wattage lamps. The base contract period of performance is twelve
months with two twelve-month options to renew. The magnitude of
construction inclusive of options is between $250,000 and $500,000. An
indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract is anticipated with
the issuance of delivery orders for each requirement. This procurement
is 100% set aside for small business (SIC 1731 and $7.0M). See
Numbered Notes 1 and 26. Contract award will be made on the basis of
the best value to the Government with price, technical and past
performance factors considered. All responsible small business sources
may submit a proposal that will be considered by the agency.
