The Bureau of Engraving & Printing (BEP) is requesting quotations from vendors to provide Electric Pallet Trucks, Hand Pallet Trucks and Push Around Stackers. Please note that this is a brand name or equal procurement. Item 001 is for a quantity of four (4) Multiton, Model ELE 45, Electric Pallet Trucks to include a 24-volt industrial (195Ah) battery with a single phase, fully automatic recharger. If vendors are proposing an Electric Pallet Truck other than a Multiton ELE 45, the following salient characteristics must be met: (a) capacity of 4,500 lbs; (b) 20.8 inches x 48 inches outer fork spread; (c) individual fork width of 6.3 inches; (d) 24 Volt Industrial (195Ah) battery; (e) single phase, fully automatic recharger; (e) a transistor speed control and (f) six month warranty on all parts and labor. Item 002 is for a quantity of three (3) Crown, Model PTH 50, Hand Pallet Trucks. If vendors are proposing a Hand Pallet Truck other than a Crown PTH 50, the following salient characteristics must be met: (a) capacity of 5,000 lbs; (b) 18 inch wide x 48 inch long outer fork spread; and (c) six month warranty on all parts and labor. Item 003 is for a quantity of four (4) Presto, Model B652 2000 Electric Push Around Stackers to include NON-adjustable outriggers. If vendors are proposing an Electric Push Around Stacker other than a Presto, Model B652 2000, the following salient characteristics must be met: (a) 12 volt electric lift; (b) 36 inch outrigger legs; (c) NON-adjustable outriggers; (d) an 18 inch x 30 inch outer fork spread; and (e) six month warranty on all parts and labor. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation, therefore this notice constitutes the only solicitation and a written request for quote shall not be issued. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses (see numbered Note 1). The Request for Quotation number is RFQ-28-047. Delivery terms and FOB Destination to the BEP loading dock located at D Street, between 13th and 14th Streets SW, Washington DC 20228. The resulting purchase order shall be firm fixed price. The basis for award shall be technical acceptability, delivery schedule and price. Due to the urgency of this requirement, the BEP will consider paying a higher price for an earlier delivery provided that the difference in delivery is significant relative to the difference in price. An award will not be made unless all technical requirements are fully met or exceeded. All interested small businesses are requested to submit a written quotation that will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a SF 1449 or on company letterhead and must include the RFQ number, the company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, tax identification number, DUNS number and size status (i.e., small business, disadvantaged business or woman-owned business) shall be provided. Quotations shall include a technical description of the equipment being offered thatfully demonstrates that all requirements and salient characteristics are fully met or exceeded. This may include product literature or other documents. The quotation shall also include the delivery period in terms of the number of weeks or days, the proposed unit price including delivery cost, the extended price, and any prompt payment discount terms.
