Imagers for the Airborne Separation Video System (ASVS) Program as follows: (1) First Article Super High Speed Visual (SHV) Imagers 3 each, and (2) High Speed Infra-Red (HIR) Imagers, 3 each. In addition the contract will have two optional line items for drawings for both types of imagers. Delivery to NAWCAD Patuxent River, MD by 30 September 2001. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with DRS Technologies, Inc., 138 Bauer Drive, Oakland, NJ 07436 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The DRS Technologies is the sole developer and manufacturer of the existing ASVS. The SHV and HIR imagers must interface with the unique data controls and data buses of the ASVS. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement. All capability statements, received in response to this notice, will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement.
