The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to non-competitively procure a Digital Audio Communications System, CLIN 0001 -- 4 x P/N XIC-01-128-20; CLIN 0002 -- 1 x P/N XIC-02-128-20; CLIN 0003 -- 8 x P/N HHT; CLIN 0004 -- 8 x P/N PTT-01-001; CLIN 0005 -- 8 x P/N HS-TX-PH4; CLIN 0006 -- 8 x P/N CA-D9M-X6F-10-A; and CLIN 0007 -- 1 x P/N UG-LOG-VN-DIS-X4, to support the AEGIS Computer Center (ACC) and its remote sites. The procurement will be used to modernize the secure voice communication system between the tactical consoles located in the various labs at the ACC and the remote sites. This procurement is restricted to Advanced Simulation Technology, Inc. (ASTi), of Herndon, VA, as the current system is proprietary to ASTi. As these are critical communications links, compatibility with the current system must be maintained. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be used for this combined synopsis/solicitation. The Government will not issue a written solicitation, as all items are identified in this Commerce Business Daily (CBD) notice. The closing date is 28 March 2000. The anticipated award date is 04 April 2000. Delivery shall be no longer than 60 days after date of award. The SIC code for this procurement is 3577, with a size standard of 1,000. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
