66 -- HIGH RESOLUTION 5:1 OBJECTIVE LENS SOL n/a DUE 032700 POC Jeanette Matthews 702-295-2700, Fax 702-295-2088 E-MAIL: matthejl@nv.doe.gov, matthejl@nv.doe.gov. Sources Sought/Request for Information: Bechtel Nevada is seeking a source for optical components to provide a high resolution 5:1 magnification object lens. The prospective Offerors must give evidence of previous experience in custom laser optics and/or high resolution microlithography. Prospective Offerors must be able to submit an optical design package using recognized optical design software (such as Zemax or Code V) which includes MTF curves, distortion curves, ray traces, and the lens prescription (radii, thickness, glass, separation, and clear apertures). The final lens product shall meet or exceed the following specifications and notes: Magnification: 5X (reduction: -0.2X) Object format: 70 mm (diameter) Image format: 14 mm (diameter) Working distance: > 200 mm Object distance: > 20 mm (object to front of lens) Operating wavelength: 532 +/- 5 nm F/ number: 1.8 fixed (at infinity) Resolution (a): 10% at 600 cycles/mm over 14 mm diameter Resolution (b): Resolve 500 cycles/mm over 14 mmdiameter Resolution (c): > 35% at 250 cycles/mm over 14 mm diameter Vignetting (a): 0% over 50 mm image Vignetting (b): < 10% at 70 mm diameter Distortion: < 1% Lens Diameter: 50 mm Vacuum: Vented assembly operating down to 1E-4 Torr. Notes: 1. No internal focusing within or near glass elements or cemented joints. 2. No ghost images (double reflection) of a collimated input beam focused within 20 mm of the image plane. 3. Changes in weight and overall working dimensions shall be discussed and approved before a contract is awarded. Our current experiment accommodates a barrel length of 99.35 mm and a barrel diameter of 50 mm. 4. Final lens elements shall not protrude beyond the mechanical housing. 5. Internal assembly (spacers, retainers, etc.) must have a non-reflective finish (flat black). Request all interested parties submit capability statements, proof of experience and other descriptive literature or information, (limited to 5 pages), which provides sufficient detail to enable a preliminary evaluation. Information should be faxed to the attention of: Jeanette Matthews fax:(702) 295-2088 or email to: matthejl@nv.doe.gov. Request all information be provided no later than March 27, 2000.
