This is a combined synopsis-/-solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and THERE WILL BE NO WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION ISSUED. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotation is N00244-00-T-0688. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. This solicitation is issued on a restricted basis, under Standard Industrial Code 7389 with a small business standard of $5.0 Million. FISC San Diego has a requirement for the following items: CLIN 0001 -- ExplorIR-ER Camera System P/N 505254-02, two (2) each. Clin 0002 -- ReportIR Software, one (1) each. CLIN 0003 ManagIR Software with site license, one (1) each. CLIN 0004 ExplorIR Camera and Software Training. Justification for other than full and opencompetition is FAR 6.302-1, Only one source or only a limited number of responsible sources. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government does not have specifications to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to negotiate with Advanced Infrared Resources only unless other contractors can be found. Required delivery is to FTSCPAC, San Diego, CA. Acceptance shall be at destination.
