issue RFP N00024-00-R-5395 on a sole source basis to BAE Systems, 1601
Research Blvd, Rockville, MD 20850-3173 for the acquisition of
STANDARD Missile Interface Analysis, Desert Ship Fire Control System
Validation and Weapons Direction Systems Design Agent. The estimated
number of engineering man-hours for the FY00 base year is 300,000
man-hours. In addition to the FY00 base year requirement, four (4)
optons years are also required with estimated engineering man-hour
requirements of 330,000 in FY01, 340,000 in FY02, 330,000 in FY03, and
310,000 in FY04. BAE Systems is the agent for STANDARD Missile
Interface Analysis, provides White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) and
Desert Ship, Computer Systems integration and verification, and is the
Design Agent and Systems Integration Agent for Weapons Direction
Systems (WDS) for TARTAR variants of the STANDARD Missile. It is the
only company that has the technical knowledge, experience, software
tools and development test siteto perform the Design Agent and System
Integration Engineering Services within the required timeframe.
