The Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District is interested in procuring an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract for archaeological data recovery involving up to 2,000 square meters of excavation to depths of up to 4 meters in the Leetsdale, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania vicinity. Technical proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria: A) Demonstrate an acceptable approach to accomplish all research goals stated in the District's Data Recovery Plan; B) Conceptual Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan, Cost-Savings Plan and Volunteer/Education Plan; C) All key personnel and specialists meet or exceed the minimum professional qualification requirements of the National Park Service for work in prehistoric archaeology; D) Demonstrate capability of fielding and supervising sufficient qualified staff to undertake all anticipated work in the stipulated timeframe; E) Provide documentation of successful past performance for similar work with the Corps of Engineers or other federal agencies in Pennsylvania and/or the upper Ohio River Valley; F) Demonstrate direct or related experience with Phase II archaeological survey and Phase III data recovery excavations of a stratified prehistoric site(s) in the Appalachian Plateau Province; and G) Demonstrate the adequacy of available facilities and equipment to perform the work. The period of performance will be from 1 June 2000 or date of award, whichever is later, through 31 March 2003.
