Project involves replacement of single 1000 KW/1250 KVA emergency power generator with two 1000 KW/1250 KVA emergency power generators (two new generators are anticipated to allow for redundancy and the ability to take a generator out of service for maintenance and repair while having code-required back-up power generation capability); establishment of a connection point exterior to the building to allow for an external portable generator to be available during change out; likely structural modifications and expansion into adjacent sub-basement areas to house miscellaneous components of the dual emergency generators to allow for sufficient floor space in the generator room for both new generators; replacement of existing generator transfer switch and distribution buss to the main emergency and critical power switchgear; and replacement of the emergency rise buss upgrading from 600 amps (480V, 3-phase) to 1350 amps (480, 3-phase). Project drawings will be required in the AuotCAD.dwg format. Estimated construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
