proposals for combiners to be used with repeaters. Project consists of
three (3) items; Item 1 -- Orleans Mountain, combines five repeaters
utilizing a maximum of two antennas, which will be mounted on catwalks
at lookouts with a horizontal separation of thirty feet (no towers
available). The five radios will be Daniels with thirty-watt outputs;
one unit to be purchased by Forest Service. The following frequencies
are involved: TX -- 164.175Mhz, 171.500 Mhz, 168.125 mhz, 168.725 Mhz,
166.125 Mhz; RX -- 164.975 Mhz, 172.400 Mhz, 170.475 Mhz, 170.125 Mhz,
164.625 Mhz. Item 2 -- Eddy Gulch combines three repeaters utilizing a
maximum of two antennas, mounted on catwalks at lookouts with a
horizontal separation of thirty feet (no towers available). The three
radios will be Daniels with thirty-watt outputs,one unit to be
purchased by Forest Service. The following frequencies are involved: TX
-- 164.175 Mhz, 171.500 Mhz, 166.125 Mhz; RX -- 164.975 Mhz, 172.400
Mhz, 164.625 Mhz. Item 3 -- Lake Mountain combines four repeaters
utilizing a maximum of two antennas, mounted on the catwalks of
lookouts with thirty-foot horizontal separation. Four Daniels repeaters
will be used on all with thirty-watt outputs; one unit to be purchased
by Forest Service. The frequencies are: TX -- 164.175 Mhz, 168.175
Mhz, 166.125 Mhz, 168.775 Mhz; RX -- 164.975 Mhz, 171.550 Mhz, 164.625
Mhz, 170.575 Mhz. Projects are located on the Klamath National Forest,
Siskiyou County, California. Contract time: 21 calendar days. Response
to include equipment specifications in the form of a system diagram,
frequency engineering data, cost of the system, and time frames for
delivery after an order is placed. Evaluation and selection will be
based on price and how the combiners are packaged for use i.e., are
they in open racks, enclosed cabinets, etc. Proposal opening date has
not been established, but is estimated to be in early May, 2000. Those
