RFP# JC-RVI-9-05 for the operation of the Gary Job Corps Center located in San Marcos, Texas, will be available on the World Wide Web Job Corps Acquisition home page, on or about April 5, 2000 at http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule.html. Hard copies will be available, for those without internet access, upon written request. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a cost-reimbursement plus fixed-fee for a 2-year base period of November 1, 2000 through October 31, 2002, plus three governmental unilateral renewal options of one year each. The approximate average capacity strength is 1850 residential students and 50 non-residential students; 1082 males and 818 females. A pre-proposal conference will be convened at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2000 at the Gary Job Corps Center, 2800 Airport Highway 21, San Marcos, TX 78667. There will be a tour of the facility following the pre-proposal conferece on the 11th and continued on Wednesday, April 12. Attendees are advised to dress for much walking in possibly warm weather. Upon reaching Gary's main gate, directions will be provided to the appropriate building. We recommend that prospective offerors download the RFP prior to attending the pre-proposal conference. Proposals in response to this RFP will consist of Oral Presentations and written submissions as described in Section L of the RFP. Oral Presentations will be scheduled between June 19 and June 30, 2000. Written portions of the proposal are due by 1:00 pm local time, Wednesday, June 7, 2000 to the Dallas Regional Office.
