Reference Number BMDO 00-10 The Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO), Deputy for Test, Simulation and Evaluation (BMDO/TE), plans to issue a sole source contract modification to SciComm, Inc., HQ0006-95-C-0019, to continue specialized services for facilities, siting and environmental activities for a period of twelve months from 01 AUG 2000 to 31 JUL 2001. This is a Cost Plus Fixed Fee completion contract. Qualified personnel and associated resources will support the Deputy for Test, Simulation and Evaluation (BMDO/TE) in the areas of program planning, development and implementation; monitoring facilities design and construction; evaluation of facilities operation and maintenance; test/facility siting and environmental programs execution; analyses, oversight and compliance activities. This modification will provide BMDO with the necessary flexibility during the current period of review and potential consolidation of Advisory Services until award of a new contract utilizing full and open competitive procedures is feasible. It is impracticable at this time to conduct a new procurement to contract for a relatively small effort where the required services will be subject to potential consolidation or redirection in the near term (less than twelve months).
