The General Services Administration is requesting proposals from Energy Service Providers able to provide renewable power to the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Edison Laboratory located in Edison, New Jersey at 2890 Woodbridge Avenue. In addition to the obvious environmental benefits of using green power at this facility, through this procurement the EPA also hopes to encourage the installation of new renewable generation, support emerging technologies and support the development of a green power market in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Request for Proposal will be available by the end of March. The successful offeror will supply electricity for 24 full billing cycles, with a 2-year renewal option. The expected start date for delivery shall be the billing cycle that begins in May 2000, but this is negotiable depending on green power product availability.
