Blanton, AIR 2.4.2.5.2, (301) 757-6984 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract to Vision Systems International (VSI) of San Jose, CA, to design and build test equipment and manufacturing tooling to improve quality, yield, and throughput of the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) Group B hardware. This hardware includes aircraft installed equipment (Electronic Unit P/N 620100, Magnetic Transmitter Unit P/N 620200) and pilot equipment (Display Unit P/N 620520 and Visor P/N 620530). This is commercial off-the-shelf technology. VSI is the only designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the required technology and is the only firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, and experience to perform this effort within the required time.
