This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 00-Q-052 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. This action is a 100% set-aside for small businesses. The SIC code is 5045, Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The U.S. Secret Service has a requirement to purchase the following items: two (2) Sun Ultra 10 Sparse Workstations, 440 MHz, 256 MB RAM, part no. A22UKC1A9P-C 256CP; two (2) Sun LAN cards, part no. 1034A; two (2) Sony seventeen inch monitors, part no. 7126; eight (8) Sun serial interface cards, part no. SCA-2; and one (1) Viacom Ethernet Hub with Thinnet Adapter, part no. E-TBT-HB1600. Delivery shall be made within thirty days of award the following address, U.S. Secret Service, Technical Security Division, 843 Brightseat Road (Rear) Landover, Maryland 20785. The Government will make payments via electronic funds transfer through the Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) Payment System. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract, to the offeror whose quotation will be the most price advantageous to the Government.
