Services for contractor-operated mobile safety shoe store at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. The government will provide a hard-top, parking lot type area, 120 volt electrical service and access to a restroom. The contractor shall provide a trailer not larger than eight feet by eight feet by forty feet for the primary purpose of fitting and issuing safety shoes to government employees from contractor-owned and maintained inventory. Operating hours are estimated to be 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday, excluding federal holidays. All costs associated with operation of the safety shoe store shall be borne by the contractor. Shoes stocked by the contractor must meet or exceed American National Standard Institute (ANSI), Standard Z41, Class 75. At least one of each pair must by "ANSI" stamped, stitched, or have a sewn-in label on the inside of the footwear. Upon contract award, the government and contractor shall conduct a joint inventory of existing shipyard inventory. The contractor is expected to assume shipyard inventory and issue a credit for the full value of inventoried stock. Current shipyard inventory is estimated at 1200 pairs. Annual shoe issues are estimated at 3700 pairs per year. The estimated period of performance is 1 June 2000 through 31 May 2001, with the possibility of two one-year option periods. This is an unrestricted requirement, to be solicted in accordance with the commercial procedures in FAR Part 12.
