SchraderMM@navair.navy.mil. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to
place an order under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement with
McDonnell Douglas Corporation (A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing
Company) of St. Louis, Missouri 63166, for the procurement of
non-recurring efforts required to validate flight envelopes for
degraded modes of the F/A-18E/F aircraft. Specifically, asymmetric
leading edge flap deflections and other failures will be studied so
that safe, clear, flight test validated envelopes can be established
for the fleet. McDonnell Douglas is the designer, developer, sole
manufacturer and integrator of the F/A-18 aircraft in its various
configurations and is the only source with the knowledge, expertise and
facilities necessary to accomplish this effort within the timeframe
