Service (USPS) places a strong emphasis on safety and health programs.
For this reason, the USPS is seeking a contractor to provide a
comprehensive training program that shall prepare USPS Safety and
Health employees to meet certification and professional standards of
Safety and Health program management and incorporate USPS regulatory
and work environments. The work shall be accomplished in two phases:
Phase I shall be a firm fixed price contract to design, develop
training manuals and materials, create a knowledge assessment tool, and
pilot the eight (8), 40-hour training courses, as follows: (1) Safety
Program Management I; (2) Performing Safety Inspections; (3) Accident
Investigation, Record Keeping & Analysis (4) Life Safety, Fire
Prevention & Electrical Safety; (5) Industrial Hygiene; (6) Required
Written Programs; (7) Safety Program Management II; and (8) U S Postal
Service Automation and Mechanization. Phase II shall be an indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity contract for conducting and administering
a minimum of 42 and a maximum of 50 courses for from 20 to 25
participants, ordered by delivery order with 30 calendar days notice
from the Contracting Officer. The courses will primarily be taught at
the U.S. Postal Service National Center for Employee Development in
Norman, OK. The period of performance shall be from date of award
through 15 months, with three one-year options to renew. The evaluation
criteria are Technical Approach, Project Management, Past Performance,
and Personnel Qualifications and Staffing. To obtain the RFP, go the
