The project is located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, and consists of the design and construction of a new control tower as an addition to building 206, renovation of building 206 and demolition of existing control tower 34041. Project requires architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, fire protection, security, and environmental design and construction. Some items required for this project are demolition, interior design, pre-cast panels, HVAC, paving, and landscaping. This project has three options; Option #1, Redesign tower so that the footprint of tower falls 2,133 mm east of the position shown on plans, Option #2, Renovation of Interior Space and Option #3, Provide and install color cameras, color monitors and video splitters. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP). The proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria; Price, Past Performance & Experience, Technical Approach, Project Management, Subcontracting Plan & Subcontracting Past Performance. Solicitation Number DACA27-00-R-0009 will be issued approximately 13 April 2000, closing date will be approximately 15 May 2000, 4:30 p.m. local time. There will be a preproposal conference on or about 26 April 2000. The SIC code is 1542. Estimated value of the project is $1,000,000 -- $5,000,000. THIS IS NOT A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
